It means the OP's neighbor is 100% at fault for not checking on his contractor's work. Nothing else needs to be said.

This is just not a smart statement.

Do you know every building, a/c, pool code that is in your county?
I sell bonds. I have no idea what the codes are here but the people that I hire do. They have to follow them and make sure that they are up to date.
Not me.

I just had a new A/C unit installed last month. They installed it to code. They have to install it to code because if they don't, they're the ones that get in trouble. Not me.

Something done not to code is called shitty work and a business won't last long doing that when it's found out.

This isn't about code, and I don't know what exactly it looks like on the Homeowner's side of the fence.

But this is about having a 3" or 4" pipe going under your fence into someone else's property. That's very obviously not something that would ever be kosher unless there was a previous discussion about it.

There may be a small amount of people that are clueless on how to use their pool. But I'd argue the amount that know how to discharge their pool is extremely high. If you get a heavy rain, you often need to discharge the water for example.

But damnit, where is the OP. Hopefully he's not in the hospital from getting his arse kicked.

You haven't follow the last couple of pages.

I'm well aware that it is not to code nor kosher.
What I was responding to is that I don't know what all the county/parish building codes are nor does any other homeowner.

This is like on the contractor who should know the codes and should have followed the codes if it were in fact the contractor.

Would love to see an update.

I was just looking to see if the OP ever resurfaced. As far as we know he's in the bottom of the neighbors pool.

I’m fully expecting either he talked to his neighbor, escalated, and one is in the ground and one is in jail at this point.

There was a Dallas TV Newstory 2 days ago about neighborhood violence and swimming pools. Related?

Was it ever confirmed the pipe extended onto his property?

Because one way we're discussing a drainage issue and the other and additional trespassing or intrusion issue. And because one way I'm talking to the neighbor about a fix and the other I'm informing him not to get too excited but the end of his pipe has been capped.

evidently the governing pool board has issued a gag order on all parties until the dispute is adjudicated

My theory is the OP confronted his neighbor and he was like "I saw your post on TD, lemme check ya knuckles"
