Just heard longtime SEC guy Jimmy Hines interviewed and his surprise team is LSU and coach of the year pick, Ed O

Love listening to the gator Homers but but what about the gators?

We have the talent and the qb's to challenge Bama and Georgia and hopefully the new coaches can work some magic.

Everyone knows damn good and well that last year was a combination of unprecedented departures combined with less practices and time to develop due to Covid.

..and the teams who were the top all year had the most continuity, both players & coaches, between 2019 & 2020.

We are stacked. I’d take us over UGA and Bama today.

We should be 11-1 at worst

We are returning 9 starters on offense and defense and the top kicker in the country. There is no way we shouldn't be back.

As long as the Safeties and Backers are back up to usual standard, we’re gonna be fine. I see 11-1 as a very high possibility. Easier throws for Brennan, hopefully better run design then last year, and Jenkins/Boutte/Kirklin/Moore are a year experienced at WR in the SEC as well as a very talented freshman class.

We’ve always had the talent to play with anyone, coaching has been iffy. It’s the years when the team has enough swagger/attitude that they overcame the bad coaching.

2019 was what happens when coaching, talent, and swagger/attitude all come together.

Noooooooo,

Let's lay in the weeds and surprise all of them.

Tell them we will be same as early last year and then give them the beat down.

I still need to see our defense in action before im sold and im still concerned about running the ball. But naturally with all the experience we should be better. Throw in a couple cream puffs and I think 10 wins is possible. If everything gels and we can run the ball and play LSU defense, 11 is possible too.

Eta- win totals in terms of regular season

everyone in the back of their minds knows LSU has a shot to be REALLY good this year, however they refuse to admit it.

i mean, just look at all the butthurt flowing through this twitter thread. news editor for the SEC picked us to win the west and lose to UGA in the SEC championship (lol).

Only an idiot would call LSU a "surprise" team... Most here have known for a while how good this team is going to be.

are you serious? you consider Georgia a threat?

if LSU plays like last year i can see it being a challenge or a threat.

we shall see.

As well as Coach O made his biggest mistakes last year as well. Thankfully in a covid year. He should be getting more hell for Pelini and Finley played far too much.

However sky is the limit for this year. Lets ride.
