And you probably shouldn't. He was good enough to survive a regime change, but he's hardly irreplaceable.

I'm always of the opinion that unless you have the very very best guy, teams should change Strength Coaches every few years. Things get stale.

A quick google check and nothing about him stands out as some leader or pioneer of the NBA strength training world, so I doubt this is going to be some major loss.

And I'm sure Aaron Nelson has some people he could recommend or bring in.

Don't know him, but wish him the best and hope he enjoyed his time in NOLA, hope his next gig works out for him.

Wonder if he’s going to go work for Dallas or San Antonio or the part about moving back to Texas has nothing to do with his future job prospects.

His haircut makes him look like he could be boys with Luka, Porz and Kleber.

Next guy we get needs to live at Ingram’s house and be in his arse. Guy needs to add about 30 pounds of good weight badly.

He was a cool guy, and I followed him on Instagram and chat with him a few times. Knew his stuff. This is a tough blow for me personally especially there is a lack of insight of players off season workouts. He was one of the few that shared footage.

Griff during his end of season presser:

"We've got to do better from a strength and conditioning standpoint."

"Because we weren't able to really address those things in a way that made sense for young players, we weren't able to grow in the way that we needed to and I think that was very evident."

So, this doesn't sound like your typical mutual parting of ways. Griff wanted this guy gone.

Hope him being this literal and clear about what he planned on getting done, and starting that already, is a preview of the offseason to come.

Griffin mentioned IQ, toughness, and shooting as the three areas we needed to address. Should probably keep that in mind during our draft, free agency, trade, discussions.

Wouldn't this also be a reflection on Nelson? I would assume he supervises and is responsible for the S&C coach.

Nelson could be the guy who wanted Sumerlin out for all we know.
