Looks like he's a PWO for '21? Congrats to the young man.

Yep--no hold that tiger from O, so I'd assume this is a PWO.

I think we’ll hear a few more PWOs trickling out. It’s that time of year. Really cool for these guys. I had a friend who was a PWO and by his senior year he was receiving snaps in the second half of blowout games. Yes, not the same as a scholarship athlete but really cool for a kid from LA to run out the tunnel and actually play snaps in Tiger Stadium. He told me while we watched Jamarcus Russel beat Coach O and Ole Miss in 2006 that he was going to play in Tiger Stadium and he fricking did it. It was really cool.

I’m sure I’m in the 99.9% of this board that couldn’t even sniff an LSU jersey. Congrats to the kid

You never know. There have been some walk ons that went on to great college and even pro careers. Rare, but it does happen.

PWO....hes a good kid both character and grades.
Honestly prob the 3rd best corner on his HS team. he won’t see the field but still a really cool thing to get.
Him and Chris Hilton are tight as well as some of the bootlegger guys so......

Does PWO imply he pays his own way? What about athletic dorms, nutrition, gear...

Think they would wave the out of state tuition increase for a PWO?

A PWO pays his own way for tuition and housing. They don't waive shite with regards to tuition, but it's okay to get academic scholarship help, but that limits when they can actually play in a game without counting. They don't pay for meals (nutrition center) anymore, but this is a relatively new thing, like in the last couple of years. Before this, a PWO had pay for all meals except things like pregame and travel meals.

They don't have to pay for access to the athletic facilities and services like academic support, weight training, etc. Dam generous of them, isn't it.
