they'll be the ones taking our guns and sending us to reeducation camps in a couple years. How many will refuse to do so and how many will say 'I'm just following orders'?

This. Tired of the "Cops are heroes" crap. Cops are the paid arm of the state. They do what they're told.

Man!! God bless your son. I know you’re proud as hell but surely worried to death too. I sure would be. I hope he has a successful and relatively uneventful career.

Most policemen are great human beings that put up with a lot of sh1t for not enough pay, so that pansies such as yourself can live a normal life. If not for the enforcement of law and order (in most places) criminals would run rampant over anyone they could.

You should be grateful that people are still willing to do the job.

It means dealing with dead bodies, mashed up from car wrecks and such, can be disgusting. And be careful if don't want body fluids on you.

That all sucks, but they'll be the ones taking our guns and sending us to reeducation camps in a couple years. How many will refuse to do so and how many will say 'I'm just following orders'? I have a feeling more than we expect.

I’m sure there will be some that stick around but the vast majority will not. Just look at the declining numbers already. Guys and gals are getting out of the profession with the way things are now. The officers that stay will likely be the ones with administrators that back them in not doing it

btw-The pay thing in the OP is comical judging by Chauvin's financials.

Speaking of Chauvin. He represents a very small percentage of law enforcement. Sure you see the inflated salaries of cops in municipalities that have the ability to capitalize on off duty details, grants, overtime, etc. This also requires you to work way more hours. That’s a lot of off days you’re expected to work to achieve middle of the pack middle class status. There also is a psychological affect, in my opinion, on an officer that works that much. These might be the “just doing my job” guys.

I really don’t think there is any other profession, percentage wise, that has more 2A supporters than LE. Your county and parish sheriff deputies across rural America are a much different beast than your city cops in democratic controlled strongpoints.

SO easy, a sensitive social worker could pull that off.

Thanks Jax. Not sure how somebody could downvote your reply to me but I appreciate what you said.

Godspeed to your Boy, so glad he's willing to do it.
I'm hoping the Academy's are focusing more on Grappling Training like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Many of the Videos that I've seen that have not ended well for Cops is IMO lack of Ground Fighting Technique.

You sure are full of assumptions. Multiple members of my family are currently serving as or have been police officers. I have interacted with police many times in a mutual response role. There is no lack of respect for police in my response. Just the whiny arse bitch complaining about how hard their job is. So take your reply and shove it up your arse fricktard

WTF does that mean?

A lot of suicides aren't found right away and, if it's summertime, they'll bloat up pretty badly. Over time the skin gets weaker and the pressure can cause them to pop.

One of the craziest things I've seen are what we called brainworms. If a small caliber round pokes a neat hole in the skull but doesn't exit, the brain can sometimes swell from the trauma and have nowhere to expand but through the entry hole.

Remember those Play-Doh toys where you could extrude the Play-Doh through different dies? Like that but with brain.
