Picked up a photo speeding ticket in Gretna (32 in a 25). Anyone know if these are for real or are they like the fake red light tickets in Baton Rouge?

What's the mailing address from the sender?

Did you get it in front of Gretna Middle School (shout out to my Tornadoes)

Someone once told me that with these photo tickets they can't do anything to you legally, but that it can ultimately affect your credit. I don't know if this is true or not. But if I ever got one I would dig into that before I just threw it away. My 2 cents.

32 in a 25... sounds like you were on Gretna Blvd.

Wife (no pics) got hit there a few years back.. it was a $30 ticket.. cheaper to pay the extortion and an not have worry about it later as she was driving in Gretna proper daily.

That new stretch of the 4th St. extension? It takes focus to go 25 mph on such a clean, smooth road...not a problem most Orleans parish streets have to worry about

False. They are not allowed to report it to the credit bureaus. There was a big lawsuit a few years ago.

Good to know. I was curious if it was true.

You did not contract with anyone or agree to pay a specific amount of money for specific services. Thus, improper to report to a credit agency. frick these road tax tickets.

Didn’t they turn off the speed trap cameras in Jeff and NOLA?

Thanks. And yes, Gretna Blvd.

The Return address was in Phoenix and the payment address in Cleveland.

You would think they might take the time and $40 to get a Gretna PO Box.

If the return address isn't Gretna then chunk it. Nothing can happen to you. Use any follow up "threatening" credit letters to start a fire or something
