Caught em at bear creek and little Darbonne. Crickets.
Catfish shallow also.
Catfish trap is fishing now.
More rain will help.
Will be back on them Friday.

I’ve got 3 recreational wire catfish nets I’ve been wanting to set in Darbonne. What type of traps are you using and how deep are you setting them?

I just got mine so I’m new to this. You hang yours vertically to keep it off the bottom? I bought some of the soybean and cheese blocks to bait with. Thanks for the tips.

I hang mine level with mouth pointed downstream.
Haven't hung it vertically. Also,
I seem to have better results when the water is on the rise.
I center th bait so it doesn't touch the sides.
Still learning how to fish it but it has put fish in the freezer.
