A few years ago I start betting finau in a lot of match ups. Racked up a lot of money then start giving it all back on finau to win bets, figuring he would just run into a W +3000

He has been absolutely crushing the last few years but just sucks at clutch putting. The amount of top 10 and top 5s is remarkable. Finished in the top 3 of every major in the last few years as well. Something has to give

He's played good enough to win a couple of times and gotten beat. Data golf has a metric that shows what percentage of the time you would win shooting what you shot and according to that he should have won about 3 times in the last 2 years or so.

He's definitely choked a few away as well, but he's gotten screwed a few times too.

If he doesn’t win this year, his winless streak will be as long as Tiger’s from 2013-2018. Of course, Tiger was dealing with major health issues.

I guess Tony just doesn’t have the mental fortitude to get it done consistently. His tee to green game is plenty good enough.

He's a gamer tee to green. Just seems like a combination of unlucky breaks and missed opportunities. Currently #6 right now in Ryder Cup points which as of now gets him a spot on the team. One of my buddies met him in pointe vedra during the players, apparently a really chill guy.

Top 10ish overall. He's currently 13th in the OGWR.

Better putting and he'd be top 5 easily. He's certainly one of the best tee to green.

Easily a top 10 player in the world. He will win soon. He's had his share of bad play when in position to win, so I understand the pessimism. He shot 64 yesterday and putted well for once. If Max makes that 3 footer on 18, nobody is talking about how Tony couldn't get it done.

Tee to green, he is as good as anyone, but his putter continues to let him down.

Tooo nice of a guy. Not one killer bone in his body. It carries onto the course.

I want him on that team. Don't have any faith in him in the clutch, but I feel like he needs to be out there.

He can't putt to save his life.

He was missing 4 footers on the practice green waiting for the playoff this weekend.

Pretty much. Others have actually won, which is no small feat, but outside of DJ and Rahm, and maybe a few others in a given week (the occasional Reed or Brooks breakout) ... who is really consistently outplaying him right now? Not Rory, not JT, not Bryson.

He's right in the mix of that 2nd tier, along with guys like Xander, Hatton and Cantlay.

A lot of his top tens are him just going bananas one or two days, so it’s almost miss leading that he has so many in the sense that he wasn’t a threat to win.

The notable example was 2019 master where he was -3 then dropped -8 on Saturday to put him in the final group. Shot a 72 Sunday which is more in line with what he did the rest of the week.

The fact that he is racking up so many top 5 and 10s is insanely impressive. I think there is something about him not being a killer or putting well in big spots. Also that winning a golf tournament is really fricking now with all the talent

That’s probably one of the closest comparisons. Kooch has like 10 wins to Finau’s 1 though.

That’s whats so crazy. Finau is carving out a historical category all to himself with all the top 10s and no wins

And guess who’s only 2 shots off the lead going into today?
