Yes, I’ve bought 6000 rounds for less than that total price.

One of the few rounds my marlin 795 won't cycle. Still have the whole box and yeah I think it was right around $20 when I bought it 5 years ago.

I might be old, but we used to get those for 5 bucks. I thought it was highway robbery when they went to $10.

ETA: good thing I have about 20 boxes of them.

Having a “few” .22 rifles I bought bricks now and then because we often went to a range and blasted away. I still bought bricks after we stop going as much. Gone are the days we would use up 2000 rounds in just a few hours. Cost back then was minimal.

Are you still a child? At one time Remington was as good, mostly, as anything you could get. My 80’s vintage 1100 and 870’s that been thru hell and back will still bang them out with anything you’ve got and a 90’s model 7 that’ll shoot with your shite too. The 80’s 742 was another story and I’ll leave it at that
