I wanna see more than a 2 game stretch like this, but if they keep this up... The sky is the limit for this squad.

This may be the most talented roster LSU has had since the Shaq days honestly

Still work to do against teams with length, defensive rebounding is still something they can improve upon and focus for entire game no matter the score - which is REALLY hard to do.
Overall, I’m really excited for the future. CWW is an excellent coach.

We almost gave up 80.
I’d like to see that in the 60’s.

Two games in a row.
I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I'm starting to debate if we can hang with the trees @ gonzaga; and that's a good thing to be wondering about imo

Anytime LSU holds a team under 80 they are likely going to win because LSU is scoring 80+ In their sleep. They don’t need to be great on the defensive end they just need to be competent.

Yeah until shots don’t fall or we play someone with a defense.

Last 2 games are best D I have seen from a WW team. The fact that the intensity is there and they actually look like they are enjoying playing D is a huge step. They got complacent the last 5 minutes to let the game get closer than is should be. Gaines and Wilkerson cause TO's every game.

Or we play someone with a defense

St Louis 34th best defense per KenPom-81 points

Ole Miss 15th best defense per KenPom- 75 points with no Cam Thomas

Arky 40th best defense per KenPom- 92 points

This LSU team has a top 5 efficiency offense that is versatile and can beat you in a number of different ways. We can score on anyone

According to the "SEC Now" crew, Arkansas is one of the better defensive teams.

A lot of that was garbage time points. Also, Arkansas had 76 FGA (31 from 3) and shot 20 FT's. With that kind of volume shooting higher point totals are a likely by-product. Arkansas leads the league in FGA. You won't see many teams other teams the rest of the way take 76 shots in a game vs. LSU. Still, despite giving up 76 LSU held Arkansas 11 below their average coming into the game.

The bigger number to look at is FG %. On that note, LSU was more than fine. Arkansas shot 34% overall and 26% from 3. I don't care what the point total is, FG% is the more important metric for LSU. If they can hold opponents under 40% they are going to (very likely) blow that opponent out.

We have too many weapons for shots not to fall.

.. Do you watch basketball? Arkansas is a very good offensive team and LSU completely took them out of their game
