Early Enrollees

With early enrollees arriving on campus.. What are the players allowed to do? Meet coaches? Work on “installs?”

These guys are on campus right now without a position coach to get started. Is it that big of a deal?

They’ll just be moving in, getting their class schedule, and preparing for winter workouts. No football stuff until closer to spring.

They are adjusting to college life as a student and a football player.

Met the Dellinger's Friday night in BR. Parents were very nice folks. Garrett in very nice and a large good looking young tackle. And little brother(HS Soph.) is almost as large as Garrett, and wearing all LSU gear! Maybe two for one here in a couple of years.

Routine, routine, routine!
One of the things they will [try to] do is get them on a routine right off the bat.
Starting college is hectic enough. Starting college playing a sport is chaotic.
Establishing a routine, meeting and S&C, levels out that chaos and the key to "efficiency" in their development is setting that pattern early.
Moffit and their position coach will setting goals and giving them specifics to do. There's always the playbook to start on. And in those meetings with their position groups they'll start to buddy up.
Other football related stuff:
- orientation for NCAA and SEC academic and compliance rules
- who to call for what, e.g. you want film sent to your tablet.
- assignment of tutors so you stay qualified. Who, where, when, and for what subjects.
