Time to bomb them, we can't afford to let any striker prospects slip away.

Doesn’t bother me too much honestly. He didn’t impress me against El Salvador at all.

That's a horrible take considering it was just one match in an impromptu camp.

Again our striker depth is so shite right now that we can not risk passing on any of these U-20 guys until we get a better idea of what they can be.

Give Canada Akinola if we can keep Balogun and Sanogo.

Eh, I think we have a number of guys that are at least on the same level as akinola, with no one really proving to be head and shoulders above the others at the moment. You could plug Sargent, zardes, Soto, Gioachini or Ferreira in and they’d probably do just as well, if not better, than akinola. So, I wouldn’t be devastated if he left. That said, I hope he stays in the fold because it’s always nice to have options.

I'd take Balogun as a replacement

Sargent, Weah, Dike, Gioacchini, Novakovich, etc. It’s not like I want Ayo to choose Canada but I just don’t see it realistically affecting our future.

I just don't see him ever contributing.

I only downvoted because he really hasn’t had a chance with first team talent. His speed was great in his last appearance, and he is a huge target on a national team that is already is good in the air with the guys on the back line.

All that to say: I want to see more of him in the red, white, and blue with our starting squad before I write him off.

Meh

If he feels like he doesn’t have what it takes to lock down a spot on the USMNT then maybe he doesn’t have the quality we need.

I want savages out there competing at the highest level they can non stop

He’s young and we have no one else like him in the pool.

He's 24 and hasn't had a call up under Berhalter. Pretty safe to say that we aren't looking for a striker like him.

If anything, he's doing this because he's lived in Canada his entire life, they have an improving team, and he wants to see what they are like. He's not exactly guaranteed to be their starter either.
