People say that, like it's a bad thing. And I do understand, we want to compete for titles, not just "always be decent".

But the thing is, we had both for awhile. And while you think you can rebound due to the recruiting advantages, you DON'T know that you will.

Looking back at the 80's and 90's, we lost a lot of instate talent to A&M. If they're good and we're not, the Wall will be tough to keep up. Alabama already raids this state.

I think there's, let's call it "Les Miles 9-10" wins and compete for a championship every few years. And maybe "Mark Richt" 9-10 wins and never compete for a championship (Bama, yes, but beat them won year and have a couple of chips fall your way maybe?).

If O gets canned, he will be on staff somewhere in the SEC recruiting against LSU.

The financial support for LSU football between now and the 1990s is like night and day. Joe Dean was so tight, that every time he blinked, he peeled the foreskin back on his pecker. We don't have that problem now. And it wasn't all Dean's fault. TAF is a lot stronger, among other factors more conducive to LSU winning big now.

We have had THREE straight coaches win a natty on their tenure here. Two of them could be elected village idiot if they ran for the office. Any COMPETENT hc would win big here. I personally think Lane Kiffin would be our best choice after you gauge the Urban and Stoops interest.

Not if the Title IX stuff plays out. Or if the political angle is that important....He will lose value in the recruiting game if he can't "Relate" to players.

You gotta admit, if it’s not already at the South Pole, it’s definitely well inside the Antarctic circle.

If already as far south (down) as it can go then the only direction left to go is up since all directions now point north.
