I’m in Bear central, NE Louisiana.

Stop putting out feeders

Put out rice bran

Put a seeder on your 4wheeler and put corn out with it.

It’s sucks when bears claw your camp and your deer stands.

I'll just say that from what I understand the majority of black bears in the MS/LA area have some kind of GPS tracking as soon as they are born.

I don’t know how it would work for the deer, but you could put a low single strand electric fence wide around the feeders. Deer could jump it and feed. Beer may figure out a way don’t know.

My dads a bee keeper and uses electric fence around hives.

Congrats on the bears baw

As a duck hunter, these threads are really entertaining but I could see how they could be annoying AF (and destructive/$$) for your deer efforts.

I think they put tracking chips on the bears when they aren’t stringing nets across the Mason Dixon line to keep ducks from flying to Louisiana.

Had a hunter/farmer say they choot em in the foot with rifle. Doesnt kill em and they stay away. Doubt feds or LDWF would be okay with that though.

Yep. Don't shoot a damn bear. They'll probably put you under the prison.

Never seen a single hog, if you can believe it. Just this overgrown raccoon.

The bear restoration program seems like another example of bureaucrats imposing their will on the citizens. It should have been put up for a vote to determine if citizens wanted more bears.Instead they just implement the program and we are stuck with all the negatives that bears bring. They are a big problem for farmers, cattleman, beekeepers and deer hunters. Some people argue that bears have just as much right to be here as deer.Maybe so but the fact is deer have a huge positive impact on the economy and untold number of hours of recreation.I doubt many people would spend tons of money on bear hunting leases, food plots, etc.
