Just booked a trip to breckenridge. Please recommend restaurants and any other activities. We’ll be there from Xmas eve until 29th. We are skiing for a couple days, finding the troll, gondola ride, snow mobiles, and ice skating. Probably some hiking if the snow isn’t too bad.

We'll be there from Christmas day til new years. I'm just hoping to be able to ski at this point. They are getting hammered with covid cases right now. Worried they are be shutting things down soon.

Book Ember for a high end dinner.

Empire Burger is good. So is the taco shop next door. Wasabi is a fine mom and pop sushi joint. The Cheese Shop has great stuff. Eric’s is a good casual joint. Pho on Main is good.

Bruh the Bison burger is the GOAT over there.

We considered Ember but ended up going to Briar Rose for a nicer dinner. Very good.

Beaver is hit or miss. You can end up in a unit that hasn't been updated since the 80s or something that looks brand new. Main street has the same problem, although the older units are more 90s instead of 80s. If you VRBO you can choose your unit and get an updated one. If you can contact the owner directly, do that to avoid the VRBO fees.

Both are great locations when it comes to lift access and town.

Erics is good pizza, Hearthstone is probably my favorite.

Don't bet on restaurants having in-person dining, unfortunately. Tubing/ice skating all may be closed as well. I am usually not a negative person on things but I am already seeing this happen.

I would plan for activities that don't depend on booking things (like hiking, sight seeing etc.) excluding skiing of course.

We are going to Breckenridge December 13-17. Staying at the new welk resort there. Bummed about the closure of indoor dining.

Hopefully things open back up for Xmas season. They are going to miss out on a lot of revenue.

Otis nailed it:

There is a Thai restaurant on Main as well which was pretty good.

The pho restaurant is tiny inside so siting outside is typically the norm there.

My buddy is there now. He said don't plan on doing anything other than skiing and ordering take-out to eat in your room.

I'm probably more bummed about places closing their hot tubs instead of missing out on indoor dining. Gonna miss the post-ski craft brew in the hot tub

Eric's has the best wings I have ever eaten in my life and good pizza. My friends all agree. My favorite nice restaurant is Hearthstone. There are a ton of good food choices in Breck. They have the best ski town food I've ever had.

Dog sledding looks awesome, but never did it. We chose snow mobiling instead.

I don't understand the point of hiking if you are going ski? You get better views while skiing.

Don't waste your time on a gondola ride. It just takes you to the bottom of peaks 7 and 8. Practically 0 views.

I have been to Breck many times.
