We have a new jersey sponsor: Ibotta
Never heard of them.

quote:

The Pelicans have found a jersey patch partner: Ibotta, a mobile rewards platform. The Ibotta logo will appear on the team’s jerseys this season.

The Ibotta app has been downloaded more than 40 million times. In August, it was named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies for the third-straight year. The Denver Post has named it a Top Workplace in 2018, 2019 and 2020.

quote:

“At Ibotta, our mission is to make every purchase rewarding, and we can’t think of a better way to spread that message across the country than to partner with a great team like the Pelicans,” Ibotta CEO Bryan Leach said.

Pelicans fans who are in the market for team gear can get a discount when they use the Ibotta app or browser extension.

To celebrate their partnership, the Pelicans and Ibotta are surprising five families in the New Orleans area with Thanksgiving dinner, team gear, and a special message from Pelicans players and staff members.

Also, if anyone is looking for a NOLA connection (which really isn't necessary for a sponsorship), James Clark, who went to UNO, is a tech entrepreneur and is an investor in the company.

I don't understand why any fan would give a shite at all as long as they offered us the most amount of money and they aren't some disreputable company.

Because you're not a chick that watches couponing videos. They're at least the equivalent of Bumble as far as internet app jersey logos.

This is dumb. At least Zatarains made sense. What if they go and sponsor the Jazz now? That would be hilariouso.

I’m just glad Morris Bart didn’t find his way on our jerseys. Would be terrible to see his face or “call 888-8888” on the front.
