LIVE DRUGS- The War on Drugs new live album

I’d highly recommend any War on Drugs fans to check out their live album released yesterday. I know we have a decent amount of WoD fans here.
The band sounds fantastic. And it’s pretty damn epic—a 12 minute Under the Pressure, a 9 minute Eyes to the Wind, a version of Red Eyes that is as good as the studio version (still the best song of the past decade in my view), and on and on. Every track is great.

I like WOD but they are a shite live band. Just listening to this LP and it was so boring had to bail. They remind me of Cake in that since, great recorded music but boring AF love.

Great live album. The Warren Zevon cover is a nice treat.

I can see how Granduciel’s live vocals style can throw some folks off, but to say the band as a whole is shite live is idiotic. These guys are one of the best things going right now.

I haven’t seen them live since right after Slave Ambient was released but they were excellent.
They opened with Baby Missiles and Granduciel said something like “well we opened with our hottest cut, nowhere to go but down from here”
