I have 3 strings or 150 c9 lights I am putting up. The box recommends no more than two strings on one outlet. Would putting all three on outlet really be a problem?

Mine would blow the fuse (in the plug) every 3/4 days when I had too many strung together

You must have incandescent C9’s. LED C9’s let you string up an ungodly amount together.

Yes.

I did the same configuration last year and blew a fuse in the string. But I had those lights plugged into surge protector with all other lights and thought that might be my problem. After the fuse blew, I replaced it and put those on another outlet by themselves.

This year I read what the box recommends.

I have incandescent c9s, and three is the max. The fourth will blow the fuse. You can route them all to the same outlet via a 3:1 type extension cord. It’s not an outlet issue but rather the capacity of the strands themselves (my lay interpretation).

Yes the problem is not the outlet, it’s fuse & wire strands. An incandescent C9 is 7 watts. You can get about 270 of them on a 20 amp outlet. If it’s LED you can probably make your house look like the griswalds without any problems.

Yes. 2 strands of c 9 lights per extension cord; more will blow the fuses in each strand of lights.

I love c 9 lights. It’s just not a Christmas tree without them.
