Evidently there have been some apple trees developed that can grow this far south. They do not need the cold days of traditional apples.

I have been thinking of planting a couple. Florida Extension article

I have several citrus trees, several satsuma, improved Meyer lemon, and my fav is blood orange. Last year was bumper crop, so not much this year. Thought lemon was gone three years ago with severe cold and snow we had, but it has come back and picking lemons again. Wish I could say same about two peach trees.

I just bought a 7 gallon Loquat today at Cleggs on Seigen. The one I have in my back yard already I bought during the semiannual plant sale at Hilltop Arboretum several years ago, and man, is it loaded with blooms and fruit forming right now. Love it.
