0.5 PPR league
I’m currently in 4th place of a 10 team league. Last place is only 2 games back so it’s been pretty competitive. Someone dropped Higgins today. I’ve got $16 left of FAAB for the year. Should I blow it all on Higgins? My team looks like this. I’m thinking of trying to drop Williams for Higgins. Starting 2 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, W/R/T flex, and a Defense.

Would you drop a defense or Williams? I grabbed Washington to start this since Baltimore plays the Titans this week. Washington has a Mixon less Bengals team and Washington has looked pretty good but I wanted to keep Baltimore for the ROS. Would you spend the entire $16 on Higgins? I hate to spend it all but he is a solid WR. I would probably pick 2 of my WR spots from Kupp, Moore, or Higgins. Possibly a flex start:

Washington has Cincy and Dallas the next 2 weeks.
Baltimore has Titans and Steelers the next 2 weeks.
Washington has much better matchups the next 2 weeks although I think Baltimore has the better defense. If you look at the playoff schedule Baltimore has a much better schedule than Washington.
I don’t think Washington is an easy drop but I think Baltimore is better long term.

Why on earth was Higgins dropped? Yes, spend the rest of your FAAB on him

The guy is in 9th place and is desperate. He dropped Higgins for Jakeem Grant. I guess he’s looking for a miracle but I’d have kept Higgins.
I want Higgins on my team but, I think I’m in a decent spot and hate to spend all of my FAAB this early in case I need it for the playoffs. I’m still considering doing it though and let everything else fall where it may.

When u say all of your FA $ do u mean u can’t get more FA or u have to wait until everyone in the league w/ FA $ has a crack at the FA before u?
Higgins has been a breakout player. He should never have been dropped.

Higgins has PPR score 18.7, 18.8, 14.4 and 22.5 in his last 4 games and has scored double digit points in his last 7 games straight. He has 61 targets in 8 games. Dude is a top 20 WR or better ROS

I picked him up for $14. I was going to switch one of my defenses out for Mike Williams but, I forgot to so I let Williams go. Either way I think I did okay. Higgins has a lot of good matchups after this week. I’m probably going to start him over Moore. I’m going to wait until tomorrow to find out if Bridgewater is playing or not before I decide.

Everyone in the league starts with $100 to bid on free agents. Once your FAAB money is gone you can submit a waiver claim but it’s based on your waiver priority since you have no money left to bid on a player. However, anyone can still pickup a free agent once that player’s waiver clears if no one put a claim in for him. I’ve got $2 left so I’m hoping my team is pretty well set. There are a few teams that still have a decent amount of FAAB money that could still make the playoffs. I’m glad I was able to pick up Higgins though. There haven’t been a lot of good options on the waiver wire the last few weeks so I think I did good.
