Alright, what needs to be done is putting the remastered 1 & 2 app versions on console/pc and sonic 3& knuckles remastered as well as a sonic mania sequel. That game was and is still incredible. From what I’ve heard from the YouTube rabbit hole SEGA is dragging their feet and keeps pushing the idea of less than mediocre 3D sonic games that ruined the franchise’s reputation. I would still be happy with just a sonic 3& knuckles remaster. That game is damn near perfect. I’ve beaten mania with 99 lives on every character and have been itching for more.

From what I have heard, Sega is extremely reluctant to put out a Sonic 3K remaster due to a good bit of the music belonging to Michael Jackson and one of his band members. The Mania team already has a good looking tech demo running, Sega just wont give them the go-ahead.

I think that Sega needs to stick to 2D..a new Mania would be nice. I would hope for more original stages in the new one.

I don't really like 3D Sonic at all, but I wouldnt mind if Sega went back to the Adventure 1&2 style of game instead of the "push Boost button to win" formula.

Man, I miss me some Sonic.

Do you know about the Sonic 3 Complete ROM hack?
It doesn't have widescreen support like the Sonic 1, 2, & CD remasters, but it does have a ton of features like Player 1 being able to make Tails carry Sonic, transform from Super Sonic back to Sonic, allows you to add the Super Peel-out move, and way more than I can be bothered to list.

Check out these links.

I heard abt Michael Jackson and one of his band members and the music.. Sad to see such a great game have such a weird hurdle. I need to give the rom hack a try and would love to see more new levels on a new mania. Also would love to see a sonic collection like on the ps2, Xbox, and GameCube. I would throw $25 at that easy. Ray and Mighty for mania gave the game an awesome new take with some more replayability. Nostalgia cravings are kicking in.

Sonic Mania really is fantastic. I was a huge Sonic fan as a kid and only recently got into Mania a couple months ago, and it's amazing how expertly crafted that game is. It even incorporates elements from Sonic CD, a game I don't care for at all, and makes them work beautifully.

Would be all-aboard another Mania sequel. And definitely prefer it to be 2D. The only 3D Sonic game I could get into at all was Sonic Generations. And even that one kind of lost its luster after the first few stages.

The kart racing Sonic games are a blast as well, if any of you haven't checked those out and dig kart racers.

Sonic 3 complete is great, I did some digging and there’s a new(to me, it’s abt a year old) deal called Sonic 3 AIR (angel island revisited) been having some great fun with it. Definitely worth a look I’ve been glued to the screen. Everyone is claiming it’s new the definitive way to play the game. They included the drop dash from mania, HD widescreen and a ton of other great stuff.

Very cool, I did not know about that one. Since I got my Mega Everdrive cart, I prefer to play Genesis games on a real Genesis console & CRT TV rather than PC emulation, but I'll have to check this out.
