Does anyone know someone stateside who can appraise the value of an old book?

I have, what appears to be an 1885 1st Edition, 1st Print of the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. However, it’s in poor condition.
Published by Charles L Webster & Co in 1885 and errors in this book coincide with the US 1st Edition/1st Print.
Some bookseller in the UK has one for sale at the price of $203K but most range between $20K-$40K.

It’s worth exactly how much you can get someone to pay you for it.
That’s only half said in jest. Books are like baseball cards. Rarity and condition control. 1885 is old, but books that old don’t have to be beat to crap, so condition matters a lot.
I’d bet that book had a pretty large first run, so good copies are out there to be bought. Not saying that your copy doesn’t have value, but it may not be as high as you hope. And it’s a fair amount of work to get the rates you see online for a book.
I’d say google around until you find your book for sale in a similar condition and go from there.

I sent some pictures to a rare book seller in London after making initial contact over the weekend.

There are about 30 for sale on EBay right now. There is a roughed up one with a Buy It Now for $255 and no takers after a few days. Some are asking for $4000+ that look to be in decent shape.
That tells me your book is not worth anything you hope, unfortunately.

Condition is everything, but if it is some rare edition (not all listed first editions are first printing) - it could be worth something
