We just have to be patient. These are the guys that will change the line of scrimmage. Everything else will fall into place. Just got to get em

This would excite me if it came from someone other than Detillier. Coming from Detillier, I put zero stock in it.

It doesnt take detillier to see the obvious here.

Foreman will have visited LSU 3 times now since he last (once) visited UGA. There was UGA buzz right after his visit there, but after that it's been all LSU since he visited here. He came back for a visit like a couple weekends after his first one to visit for the MSU Game. Now he's coming back to visit for another game, with Davis a commit and once again hanging out with Smith once again locally. So this makes 3x Foreman will have paid his own way to make it down here and he's been to UGA just once.

Always watch what recruits do, it's usually the most telling thing you'll see. I'm not saying Foreman is a lock as most 5-star are hardly ever a lock till they sign, but we would probably have to royally screw up to not get him and Smith to come here.

If we finish with Raesjon Davis, Ryan, Smith and Foreman our 2021 D will be completely different than this season. Those 4 are instant impact players. Roy and Guillory will be much better and BJ is a star in the making.

A complete spring to get guys acclimated and I think we'll start to see the D that Coach O had envisioned.

I wouldnt say it would be mostly different because of them, it will be different in 2021 because of experience gained this year, returning guys and probably better defensive coaching (however that comes). Have to remember, true freshman rarely make huge impacts. Ojulari has made a good impact, but he just recently grabbed the starting spot halfway through the season. If we return Gaye and Ojulari, Foreman will probably be a backup for 1 year at DE. Ryan could make some early noise in secondary, but I wouldnt expect Stingley JR type impact right away there (that's always an almost impossible goal). Davis will probably take a year to get in at LB like most linebackers take at minimum, but who knows, not like we're deep there at all especially if we lose Cox. Smith obviously will see some early time inside but it's always extremely difficult to get on the field as a freshman on the interior of DLine in SEC.

I think they certainly will make an impact at LSU, but most of that impact wont be felt until 2022 and beyond. If the defense is going to be good next year, it's because we return a lot of experience, get better coaching there and a few more impact guys start standing out. I dont know if 2021 recruits will be making as big an impact on that first season in particular, but they certainly will help. Lots of talent there.

Orlando brings an aggressive defense that loves to blitz and operates out of a 3-4 scheme. USC went to a base 4 down linemen front. There will be some adjusting with the roster has has, however he will have a solid and talented group to work with. They can also expect to see a physical and hard hitting style which could mean the Trojans getting back to tackling well. An area that they’ve struggled with the last three years under Clancy Pendergast.

Funny how such stories emerge when a high 4* or 5*'s recruitment is a quiet one.

Some real, some repackaged old info, some not so real.

Pretty accurate. If the class finishes with these guys, then we are on our way to the dominant Dline we once had. We will need a little patience with true freshmen.

I can agree that these guys wont immediately transform the defense, but Korey Foreman and Maason Smith start day 1. Maybe Sage Ryan as well

It's between SC and LSU. The allure of playing in the SEC has lsu in the lead right now. But you can never count out the home team. Had we made a move last offseason with a new coach, he'd be a USC commit.

Mike D is not usually the one to break recruiting news
I don't put much stock in his comments on Foreman
Would be nice to get but I'm not holding my breath

So what happens if they fire Helton this year? Who would be expected to take over? Funny how LSU and USC both have bad DC's

Detillier and O are very tight. So a lot of info you get out of Mike D, its coming straight out of O's mouth

Guillory, Roy, Rashard Lawrence are all studs that didn't start day 1. It is pretty rare, even for the studs. I expect Logan and Ferrell back next year. Smith is a future star and we need him, but doubt he starts day 1.
