Please let it be customizable so I can remove 90% of that bloatware from my dashboard.

I don’t want to dig in sub-menus to find apps I regularly use, meanwhile right on my home page I can see what trophy my buddy just got in Sackboy...like IGAF

I just got an email from Target saying release date for PS5 peripherals is now Oct 30th.

So, I’ll have a DualSense controller, a charging dock and Pulse headphones two weeks early to prick-tease me? Well, maybe try them with the PS4 Pro

Did anyone else that preordered from gamestop get an email saying your order was placed with an invalid promotion and therefore would not be fulfilled? There was a correction email from gamestop a few minutes later saying everything was fine and the previous email was wrong but boy for a few minutes there I was contemplating murder .

Good luck finding a PS5
quote:

The Japanese tech company pre-sold as many PS5 consoles in the first 12 hours in the United States as in the first 12 weeks for its predecessor PlayStation 4 device, Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, said in an interview.

“The demand as expressed by the level of pre-order has been has been very, very considerable,” Ryan told Reuters.

“It may well be that not everybody who wants to buy a PS5 on launch day will be able to find one,” said Ryan, adding the company is “working as hard as we ever can” to ensure supply for the year-end shopping season.

Saw a $175 pre authorization charge from gamestop on my bank statement and an email from them with security details about the FedEx shipping they're using (requires signature). We're getting close

That is absolutely horrible news considering the bloated size of AAA games.

One thing I hadn't really thought about until today is, didn't PlayStation say it was a developer decision whether PS4 saves would carry over to the PS5?

I'm halfway through playthroughs of Black Flag and RE2 Remake, plus I still need to finish the second DLC in Nioh 2. No chance in hell I'm starting those games over on the PS5. Soooo, I guess that means I need to leave my PS4 hooked up until the developers for each game say whether the save will transfer? I know Team Ninja (Nioh 2 devs) are making an announcement about something on the 13th. Hopefully they address this issue.

I thought I read that it won't be a feature at launch but should be available at some point. Something about not all external HDs would work and you'll need to get one that Sony confirms will work. No idea if that is a week away or a year away. That will be a big deal to me since I'm all digital.

It’s coming down the line. I would imagine most external drives would work. The SSD expansion slot is what will have a list from Sony for compatible drives.

My understanding is that you can transfer you save data over to the PS5 as long as they are both on the same network or you connect the two systems via an ethernet cable. Though that might have only been for games and not PS4 saves.
