Bought a new Blackstone Grill...looking forward to it
Posted by cbtullis on 10/14/20 at 9:34 pm50
Seems so versatile.
Stir fry
Hibachi
Smash burgers
Breakfast
But one of the things I want to do is fresh tortillas
I bought a tortilla press
Anyone have any good recipes to make fresh tortillas they use

Did this once. I have a blackstone as well (freaking awesome)
But i will not be doing fresh tortillas again. Just not worth the effort and time. At least for myself.
Philly cheesesteaks on that bad boy is awesome

Welcome to the only way you'll ever cook a hamburger again.
Can someone tell me why (or what makes) burgers on a Blackstone better than on a grill? Some guys at work are raving about it lately. Is it just because it's the new thing or is there something actually better?

meat cooks in its on fat instead of falling through the grates
plus you get a full crust

I prefer a burger cooking in it own fat and developing a crust without overcooking the inside. Doesnt have to be on a blackstone its just a nice way to cook a burger.
My neighbor has a Camp Chef that I use all the time.
As for stir fry you probably have an even better option available. A crawfish burner is almost perfect for wok cooking. A good carbon steel wok and a crawfish burner lets you cook exactly like they do in Asia.

Best of both worlds put a black iron frying pan on your charcoal grill

I started a thread last week about gas grill recs, but I keep thinking I would get more use out of a griddle instead. Does anyone have the 22 inch Tabletop with the hood and stand? Trying to decide between that and the 28 inch version. I like the idea of being able to take the tabletop with me places. Seems like you can get a full size propane tank with adapter on that one, or use the little Coleman bottles if you're taking it somewhere.
