Hey, frick you buddy. Latoya is destroying the city with her power trip. She is destroying the livelihood of not only business owners, but all of the employees they employe. Her, and the dumbass mayor before her, have destroyed any semblance of industry in the city outside of tourism. With her shite response to Covid she’s all but signed the death sentence for tourism.
I’m one of “those people” if you mean New Orleans residents (which you probably don’t because you are actually a racist while claiming to not be), and I agree with everyone that Toya needs to be kicked to the curb.

I have hired hundreds of black men. Some their first job ever. Even if it doesn't work out long term they have something to put on an application. They have a reference for the rest of their life.

I have worked with programs to get women back to work who, for various reasons, have huge gaps in their resume. One of these programs wanted to give me an award and a banquet. I declined because I'm just doing what's right. I don't deserve the recognition.
I give people their freedom, not to continue to be slaves to the same white democrats that are full of shite and have been putting people down since the 1700s.

It is a devastating ego trip she's going on. Went to the city yesterday to drop my sister at the airport and drove in to eat a favorite restaurant of ours....we walked around and it was dead. businesses that were there 6 months ago boarded up and closed.
We walked in the Quarter and went to the Chart Room. Said they had just opened back up Wednesday and that only when they put in a hot dog machine to qualify as serving food. They had been closed since March.
She's choking the life out of the city and it really is totally unnecessary and irresponsible and it's sad. Some who have quit going will never go back. It's all on her and will be here legacy. Not that she cares.

Funny several of you have mentioned it. Nola.com published a newer article saying they are going to crack down on bourbon. Also, no live music in bars, but music elsewhere. Bruh, this mayor is literally ripping the heart of the city. We need the saints to threaten legal means possibly against the city to save us from this lady.

Me and the wife met a retired couple from Iowa yesterday. They're riding around the country and were on their way to New Orleans. They were excited to "try the food, drink, soak in the atmosphere". I felt bad but I broke the bad news to them that the shithead mayor has all but destroyed that for now. This is the first time for both. They were a tad bit disappointed, but they're going anyway. When I walked away from that encounter, I was more pissed at that bitch than I've been yet. She really is destroying the city right now. A city that thrives on millions of visitors like the ones I met yesterday. They just wanted to soak in the culture and get New Orleans.
