Planning a 4-5 day quick getaway to Eureka Springs next week. Wife been wanting to see the passion play. Any recommendations for places to stay/eat/see. Will be passing through Hot Springs on way. Suggestions for in and around either place.

Not a lot to do in Hot Springs this time of year, but Eureka should be fun still. Basin Hotel is really cool spot. Crescent Hotel is the supposed haunted hotel in Eureka, also very cool to check out. Eureka in general is great for walking around and checking out all the weird little shops etc.

Have fun

Good trip but 2 of the 4 or 5 days will be driving if you are coming from South La.

You'll want to hit Thorncrown chapel just outside of town. In town, Oscars for breakfast and Chelsea's for live music, pizza and beer. I like BREWS for coffee and beer but it's a hippie/ LGBTQ hangout. We usually stay in airbnb's .

Deluca’s Pizza in Hot Springs is so of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Good lunch stop of they’re open on the day you pass through.

I’m heading that way next week as well- 1 day in Hot Springs and 3 days in Eureka Springs.

Are you planning on taking Scenic 7 Byway from Hot Springs to Eureka Springs (or vice versa)? I’ve never been to either area, so I’m hoping I picked out some decent stopping points-Pedestal Rocks, Falling Water Falls, Grand Canyon of the Ozarks, and Rotary Ann Overlook.

I’ve read that in-town parking in Eureka Springs is pretty limited, maybe some of the other posters can confirm this. We’re staying in a cottage that close to dining, shopping, and a trolley stop just in case I end up disabled from blisters, ha!

Enjoy your trip!

Normally it is. Not sure how crowded it is these days but the main town sits in a little valley and it's pretty tight. But if you are willing to walk a bit the hill to the west has parking in the neighborhoods up there. It's a nice walk through really nice neighborhoods down to the town. There are shuttles that pick up .....up that hill but I've never used them
