What you all should be concerned with is “the right deal” coming from the Gulf Coast. The hotels are there and the newly announced large venue starting to be built. Louisiana politics, especially New Orleans local, increasingly becoming a barrier. It’s not as far fetched as some want you to believe and at the least a viable bargaining chip.

notice nobody has mentioned Slidell... I think it’s perfect being in the middle of all the gulf coast population centers with access to three interstates... not to mention the money is on the Northshore now anyways

First off most of the real money
in the metro is in a NO zip code. Definitely not the 985.

Second Slidell is about as far out as Port Sulphur. Locals may make that trip but there's no way out of towner's will venture there.
