Jackson Hole late November?
Posted by cajungoalie on 10/13/20 at 9:51 am00
Looking for a last minute vaca with three teenage boys for Thanksgiving week. We are sick of the beach and want some views. Thinking about Jackson Hole for 5 days. We ski but that wouldn't be the focus. Looks like yellowstone closes early November. Is there enough to keep us busy that time of year? Do I need to rent 4WD--lol? Anybody have any solid advise. Ideally would like to visit when the park is open but just want something different now.

Plenty of stuff to do even with a lot of stuff closed. You dont "need" fwd but the chances of snow is probably like 100% so keep that in mind.
There's fantastic skiing so if you plan on skiing for 2-3 days there definitely is plenty to do.

Thanksgiving is the first week the lifts open and best I can remember there has been great snow there the last couple of years for opening.

It’s really depends on the year.
Two years ago it seemed like most of the mountain was open, last year they had a single ribbon of artificial snow. The mountain wasn’t fully open till after New Years.
