What are your thoughts about the three 2nd round picks?

How would you deal with them?

Could we move up any in the 1st round if you combine 2 of them with the 13th pick?

Thanks

Sure, maybe to 8-9

Almost assuredly worthless, unless we sell them for cash.

I would bundle the 2nds with cash to move up into the late 1st.

No. 2nd round picks will not move you up that far at all.

For instance, if you combined 39 and 42, you would move up towards the top of the 2nd at best, somewhere around 33ish. If you throw in the 21 and 22 Cleveland 2nds, you could probably get to the very bottom of the 1st.

We could attach all 3 2nd rounders, and at most we would be able to flip spots with Sacramento moving up from 13-12

Probably should try to trade up in the second to grab the best big to add to the rotation.

Straight up maybe they can land you a vet min/ end of the bench player. We have no room for probably 4/5 2nds the next 2 years. I can see us attaching #13, 2nds, and a player to move into the top 10. I can also see us trading a future 1st and 2nds for a player.

Wrong.

There's quality players in the early 2nd round in every single draft. This is just from the 2017 and 2018.
Gary Trent
Mitchell Robinson
Devonte Graham
Thomas Bryant
Dillon Brooks
Monte Morris

There's about 30 players from those two drafts that are averaging at least 15 minutes a game and most have played over 100 games, just from the 2nd round.

And that's not including the slew of guys that go undrafted every year that become contributors.

No second round picks with our 13th pick will move us up the draft

You can use those second round picks to trade up in the second round tho. Look for the scrappy tough player that can be a good bench role player for us

It's likely that at least one of them is used in a trade involving JJ, Lonzo, or Jrue. Then, we use at least one on a draft-and-stash like we did with Didi.
