Thomas Wilson should get more acclaim for his roles in Back to The Future

I'm watching BTTF III the other day and it took me this long to notice that Thomas Wilson as Buford "Mad Dog" Tannen is probably best part/acting in the whole film.
Thomas Wilson never really gets mentioned as much as Lloyd and Michael J Fox, but he's every bit as essential to the film.
He may have had the hardest acting job on set as well. He had to play integral roles as the same guy, yet make them all totally different.
Yes, Michael J Fox did a lot of this too, but not to the level as Wilson.
He plays:
1955 Young Biff
Bully 1985 Biff
Meek 1985 Biff
Mogul/Murderer 1985 Biff
2015 Griff
2015 Old Biff
1885 Buford Tannen
In part III, Marty and Doc are really just expository characters (they have to be for that story) but Buford is just playing a great great villain.
Buford is his best performance. I think alternate 1985 rich Biff is his second best. He's absolutely terrifying.

Agree. Biff made the series

I agree completely, which makes the rest of his career seem all the more strange. Seems he could have etched out a very nice character-actor career. Or maybe he could have gotten screwed by the success of the franchise. Hard to see him as anything other than Biff.

Why don't you make like a tree and get out of here?

Biff is quite possibly the goat movie bully.

Was coming to post this. So weird seeing him be funny like that.
Also to say that he was really good in Freaks and Geeks.

Wilson came to MS about 5 years ago because he was a headliner for a comedy charity event. When I heard the guy who played Biff in one of my favorite movies growing up was coming to town, I had to go see him.
His stand up was really good. He got to the part in his bit about playing in a very popular 80s movie, and some guy in the crowd starts doing “HELLO! Hello!!! Anybody home? THINK MCFLY THINK!!” Tom Wilson stopped the show and told him “I know the line sir. I was in the movie.” He did it in a joking way and everyone thought it was funny while also picking on the schmuck who thought it would be a good idea to interrupt the show. I’m

Agree, always loved him as Biff.
He has did a lot of character voices on SpongeBob and was roommates back in the day with Andrew "Dice" Clay.

Honestly, without him the movie tanks. He's a huge part of its success.
Look up his bttf song on YouTube. It's hilarious. Edit: someone posted it above, love that song.
