Each conference should select their champion however they see fit and that team goes.
It's the only fair way for this disaster to have any balance.
Let it all be decided on the field, no do over rematches in the CFP.

How Buckeye thoughts have changed in less than 3 years. Penn ST shouldn't go we are better, even though they won the B1G

We didn't belong in a playoff that year.
We lost to Pitt, got housed by Michigan, and ended up losing our bowl game to the 3rd best team in the Pac-12.
Only an idiot would have put Penn State in the playoff after those two losses, and the bowl game just verified that.

Let's say Alabama has to cancel games against Missouri and Arkansas, and goes 8-0. Should they be excluded?
Same question for LSU. frick them, right?
Or no. Put them in because they thought really hard about playing 10 games.
They should treat it somewhat like bowl eligibility. Win at least 6-8 games, or you aren't eligible.
