The ADS was developed by the military some twenty years ago as a way to disperse crowds. There have been questions about whether it worked, or should be deployed in the first place. It uses millimeter wave technology to essentially heat the skin of people targeted by its invisible ray.

I remember a story (60 Minutes, maybe?) on this many years ago. It seemed like it worked pretty well back then. Would love to see it used to keep property and lives from being destroyed.

Would they aim for the nutsack like cops do with rubber bullets and pepper balls?

Is it one where it looked like there was a small radar dish on the back of a vehicle and the reporter stood in front of it then after a couple of seconds had to bow out because it got too intense? I haven't thought about that in years.

I was working on a project for Mandeville PD 15 years ago and the DOD Demo’d one of these to them for possible MG crowd control. It would make your skin feel lie it was on fire. It used sound waves IIRC.

I remember an episode of future weapons where they showed the Air Force testing.

I knew a guy that was in Air Force Security Forces. He was stationed at Kirkland in New Mexico. He said they tested one of these one time on a stray coyote on base and the fricker went up in flames.

They need to deploy that for the wild hogs

It would have saved a lot of lives and billions of property damage.

Who stopped using this from happening? Hopefully frying a lot of terrorist's balls so they would not be fathering more terrorists. Win/Win!

Sound cannon
The second piece of equipment DeMarco says they asked for was a kind of sound cannon called an LRAD, a Long Range Acoustic Device.

With the right settings, you can make the crowd shite themselves.

They may however enjoy the sensation of shitting themselves in public.
