I'd prefer books that focuses more on the US economy, but any book that you feel is worth reading please suggest.

Any particular point of time for the US economy? Any particular area of interest with it: trade, monetary policy, business cycles, etc.?

A History of Central Banking

I think I know where this book is headed and may check this one out. I hope the author has references because some of the quotes I've read by Lincoln on this matter seem to be covered up.

ETA: Didn't have the quotes I was looking for but did have a good letter from Lincoln. It is interesting on How both Lincoln and JFK were killed after issuing government, rather than private issued greenbacks. Does seem to have an anti-semitic flare to it unfortunately.
