They currently require a 14 day quarantine

That doesn't apply to me. I drove to NY last week, instead of flying, and being from Ohio I was supposed to quarantine once I was in NY. Yeah, right. Saw client, spent the night, drove back next day.

This thread tipped the scales. Plus wife's (no pics) best friend (no pics) has a friend (no pics) that flys for Southwest and has been for months. Feels very safe. Hasn't gotten the Wu.

Booked Oregon in September. Choosing freedom over fear. And family.

i live in Hong Kong. You aren't getting around the quarantine here except for very specific exceptions.

If you fly from the US, you need a test to certify negative for Covid within the past 72 hours, be tested upon arrival, and still have to quarantine for 14 days in a government center. so... i won't be travelling back to the US anytime soon.

If you arrive from Europe or Asia, you still have to be tested upon arrival and quarantine for 14 days - but that can be at a hotel or your apartment. But you wear a tracking bracelet and can't leave your apartment.

So y'all should count your blessings that you can travel around the states, at least. I'm stuck in a 15 mile radius.

Was planning to be there next month, but that obviously isn’t happening now.

Been talking to my peeps in HK and a lot are looking to get out after the security law too. Looking at SG mainly.

I’ve been traveling this summer. No middle seats. Most flights are cheap and nowhere near full. I wipe stuff down with a Clorox wipe and sit back and watch a movie with plenty of elbow space. Why not fly?

I would not fly internationally right now. Not worth taking a chance I would get quarantined.

I can’t fly domestically. Actually, I would fly domestic as long as I didn’t have a lot of layovers. But wife (no pics) isn’t quite there yet which means I’m not quite there yet. Also, I’m in the office everyday (hooray being essential) and I’m not sure what they would do if I said I was flying somewhere.

That’s right now though. We are looking at flying in September. But somewhere more like Colorado or Utah, not NYC or Chicago.

locals or expats? My local colleagues are looking at Taiwan mainly. The ones with the options for the west are looking at Britain and Canada.

Just did and it was one of the more enjoyable flying experiences I’ve had

Flew to MN two weekends ago and I agree. I love Covid travelling.
