I rarely open a bottle and don’t finish it... waste of money... just pop the cork back in upside down until the next day

Real wine drinkers, like myself, never leave a bottle unfinished overnight.
ETA: Didn't mean to come off as a dick. I appreciate the heads up, but no one that has a reason to use a Coravin at home is leaving that bottle unfinished. Anyone that leaves a bottle unfinished has no reason to use a Coravin.

I could be wrong, but I don't see anyone that actually owning it needing it. A restaurant that wants to sell a higher end BTG, yes, use the hell out of it. Homeowners that actually know wine, wouldn't open a Coravin worthy wine that they couldn't finish that night more less 4 days. I see this as people that have money to blow and use it on shite wines like Meiomi (yes I realize it's a screw top, just trying to make a point).
Even if you can't drink a worthy bottle of wine in a night, no reason you can't drink 2 glasses the night you open and then 2 more over the next 3 nights. Again, I imagine most (not all) home coravins are for sup par wine.

Yeah, Electric wine opener is def easier than old fashioned, I had a wine spectator one for a few years but doesn’t extend shelf life and won’t affect my ability to drink it same night.... just easier to open. It did help my wife’s bubbly because you could suck up all the CO2 and it woluldnt be flat

Wholesale reps need to stretch an expensive sample over a few weeks, Coravin really comes in handy. Or if you have a bottle of something rare/expensive but don’t want to open the whole bottle if it is not ready to drink (maybe Barolo or Bordeaux), you can get a tiny preview and see how it’s drinking.
