Staying in Estes Park for 5 days.
Do you have any food/drink recommendations in town or near by?
Also, besides RMNP, any other must do/see?

Be sure and stop by the Stanley Hotel. It is very pretty and historically significant.

definitely get some cinnamon rolls at cinammons. order the day before or plan on getting there real early. They will change your life.

RMNP is doing time-sensitive pre-ticketed entrances. Make sure you know when you want to enter and reserve your spot. It's timed at 2 hour intervals and costs $2 processing on top of the entrance fee.

We were there last year. Stayed one night in Grand Lake, drove The Trail Ridge Road and spent the next night in Estes Park. It was near the tail in of a long road trip out west.

We got there at 7:30 and there was a short line but some locals said sometimes there is a long line. You tell them how much frosting you want on your roll, we went with the least amount and it was plenty.
We ate lunches at Notchtop Barkery and Cafe and a place called You Need Pie and if they are still there I would eat there again. They are both in the strip mall in front of The Stanley Hotel and are just small restaurants.

We went last year. The one thing that is an absolute must is doing a white water rafting trip with rapid transit. Do the all day trip. A tour van will take you from downtown Estes, through the RMNP, to your white water rafting destination. The drive there was worth the money by itself. It was one of my favorite things I have ever done.
Also, downtown Estes is fun. There is an Irish pub, a beer garden, and a bar called the Wagon Wheel that I really liked. As for food, Cinnamons is great for breakfast and the restaurant in the Stanley Hotel is really nice.

Stanley is a must. Grab some wine and lounge on the lawn. Make the drive to RMNP, Emerald Lake Trail is awesome. It gets crowded so go early and you can finish in time to grab some lunch back in town.

That will be a great trip. The Rocky Mountain National Park is awesome. Get your camera ready.
Ok, this one sounded strange to me, but I asked where to get a quick lunch / sandwich on the way from Denver and was told the Whole Foods in Boulder. It was unique... just off the road you'll probably be on if coming from Denver.

Bear lake hike is nice... you can keep going to a “summit” on the trail. Me and my buddy almost died/fell off when we were about 16 because we were sliding on the snow coming down and didn’t notice a cliff drop off... luckily I grabbed onto a rock and then caught my buddy as he was sliding by... stay on the trail lol
