Yeah, Wade probably told him to keep it under wraps so that Dickie V doesn't come out with another tweet the day before.

I'm only half kidding.

Arizona . My source just told me they will both be notified of violations at end of July or early August . Source says both will face LEVEL 1 charges .

What a shocker! Who didn't see this coming after Cisse put out last week that he was going to announce this week. Rather Lester will still argue that LSU had no logical reason at all to try and get Cisse to remove his tweet and not put out when he is announcing.

And Dick is so much of a sideshow hack at this point that LSU beat reporters are not even paying attention to him. Several hours have passed since this tweet and none of them have retweeted, written a story, or updated a previous story on the topic. What a clown.

Hell, his one before that (in early to mid May) was that his source was saying 6 weeks, which was tweeted on the heels of him stating the source said it was imminent. Now the source says the end of July or August and that it will contain level 1 violations. The only people that would have any legit clue as to the types of violations in it would be someone inside the NCAA offices or inside LSU. What a joke!

I’ve heard from people close to program that Brown is holding the program back.

WTF?

If this is true, why? How?

This guy is 100 years old (84 actually), why does he have any pull? He is just like Les, the game passed him by a half century ago. Long time stability sometimes hurts a program and old Dale was a liability in his last 4 years- 11-16, 12-15, 12-17, 10-20 ending in 96-97.

He should have ZERO impact on anything LSU BB!

No one knows for sure if this is true. Just speculation at this point. But speculation is that Wade did his best to cut Brown out of the program and the inner circle, which of course is going to piss somebody like Brown off.

How?

LSU athletics is politics. Politics is money. Money is the big donors/boosters of the programs. The sooner fans realize this, the more easily you can comprehend why some of the things that happen, happen. It's one of the big reasons that Woodward was such a good choice to bring back as AD. Woodward knows how to play the LSU and Louisiana political game.

As for Brown, he undoubtedly made a lot of big money connections while coach here. Outside of the Pistol years, Brown was the first to really bring any major notoriety to LSU basketball and put it more on the "map", which made many donors fall in love with him. People are loyal to people and many of those big money donors are still a part of LSU today; so it's not absurd to think or believe that they are what keeps Brown "connected" to the program and having some level influence.
