Price per linear foot 6’ wood privacy fence?

Got an estimate which seems high 13.50/linear foot.
Anyone gotten any fence pricing lately. Going to solicit a few more quotes but was just wondering the ball park of average cost per LF. This is about 200’ with a single 4’ gate.

Very reasonable price.
Make sure you compare apples to apples on construction. Number of runners, spans, type of gate construction,

Not trying to be a dick, but why not just get one more quote to be sure?
I always used to get suckered into situations like that. Paid someone $450 to do my backsplash in my kitchen, then found out I could have had it done for $250 if I would have just called one more person (they both do quality work)

No doubt, get another opinion. Always do that.
The OP might get lucky and have someone give a ballpark over the phone of price per foot

That was the price about 10-15 years ago. I haven’t priced fencing in a while but seems like the last time I did, pine was around $18/ft

$20 a foot seems to be the going rate for cedar.

I’m a landscape contractor. Treated pine, dog eared, 6’ goes for $15-$16/ft plus gate materials. Cedar runs $21-$22/ft.
That $13.50 sounds like you’ll be replacing posts in 3-4 yrs.

Whatever you end up doing be sure and have them take the price tags off the boards. Nothing looks worse than seeing a fence with the price tags still stuck on the boards.

How much for composite?

quote:I built my own fence about 3 years ago. 275 ft of #1 6' dog ear cedar with 2 runners, a mud board at the bottom, and 10ft posts with post collars to secure it. It cost me about $6500 which makes the $21-22/ft price pretty accurate. As others have mentioned, if you skimp on materials and construction of the fence, you'll be dealing with bad boards and ugly waves in the fence.

I didn't skimp on it and am happy i didn't.

There isn’t a composite fence material, unless you’re referring to the shitty vinyl style fences.

$21-22 is the price after installation I'm fairly certain they mean.
A pine 6ft fence is $7-10 usually for the wood, everything after that is labor.

Dang, I saved myself about $2000 doing mine myself.
I probably drank about 1/2 that in beer while building it though!
