Why are we waiting till June 8th to come back?

I thought the NCAA was ok with June 1st.

Technically, June 8th is the beginning of phase 2 reopenings. Not sure if that’s just a coincidence.

It may reflect each program needing time to complete their preparations for testing, isolation, quarantine when necessary, scheduling workouts, protocols. This is not as easy as the usual arrivals of the athletes.
I am sure a lot of the planning has been done the devil is in the details. They staff needs to know the exact protocols to follow for every circumstance.

Some wanted the first, some wanted June 15;compromise.

Fat Phil and a couple of others wanted the 15th. LSU and others wanted the 1st so they compromised on the 8th.
