Only one tough game the first 5 weeks, and that game (Texas) is at home against a team that has a recent history, if not longer, of underachieving. And even though LSU won last year's game in Austin, LSU will still have a revenge motive against the Longhorns because of the shabby treatment that the players and coaches received over there (no air conditioning among other things). I think we all know that Coach O ("Roll tide what? frick You!!!) will use that as a motivating factor in the game.

I'm also glad that LSU has the road game versus Rice. Not a tough opponent, and the stands will be full of LSU fans, but it will still give Myles Brennan the experience of preparing for and playing a road game before they go to Florida on 10/10.

Speaking of Florida, I think that's going to be the toughest game of the year. The running game and the defense will have to step up and help Brennan in order for LSU to come away with a victory in The Swamp.

2020 LSU Football Schedule

Sept. 5 UT-SAN ANTONIO
Sept. 12 TEXAS
Sept. 19 vs. Rice (in Houston – NRG Stadium)
Sept. 26 OLE MISS
Oct. 3 NICHOLLS STATE
Oct. 10 at Florida
Oct. 17 at Arkansas
Oct. 24 MISSISSIPPI STATE
Oct. 31 Open Date
Nov. 7 ALABAMA
Nov. 14 SOUTH CAROLINA
Nov. 21 at Auburn
Nov. 28 at Texas A&M

The players can resume team activities on that date. They need to get back to work.

Besides, I'm sure we will at least hear some LSU news after that. Anything LSU-related will be preferable, at least to me, than stories about LeBron James giving a commencement address or hearing ad nauseum about some NBA player & team who haven't been relevant for almost 25 years.

Anything about LSU has to be better than that crap.

Sept 26 will be an interesting one. After John Rhys Plumlee ran all over us last year I can’t wait to see Pelini’s defense against him.

Myles has the arm to make any throw and he just needs it between the ears. I have faith he will do well with our wrs. I just hope we have the oline to give him time and protect him.

I'm sure it's happened, but I wonder how often another team plays 3 OOC opponents from the same state.
Texas, UTSA, Rice.

I think this is the first time we’ve played Arkansas before the month of November since 1936. Between 1931 and 1936 we played the hogs in October and won every game. Frick em
