Did some lab work

My results are good. My cholesterol levels all fall in the middle of the normal range. Not too high, not too low. My potassium levels are just over the normal range, but the doc says that doesn’t look like anything we need to look at. We are doing a second round of lab work because my billireuben count is high. The doc says that can be attributed to the fact that I do intense strength training. Apparently that is common for people who lift weights. All in all, I’m a healthy person. He told me I should lower my body fat some more, but I’m already working on that. Just thought I would share. I requested the lab work since I’m closing in on 30, and it had been probably 15 years since I’ve done a check-up. One cool thing is my heart rate was 54 bpm. Apparently the conditioning is paying off.

Getting a little more sun can help with that. They used to put babies in the window when they were born with jaundice.

That was me when I was born, actually.

Had to do this with pretty much all my kids and my oldest needed a bili blanket.

Assume your name isn't related to birth year. Lol.
Did doc order an NMR (or TRPS) particle test? Occasional basic cholesterol tests are mostly useless.
Downvoter, please support your position. I'll support mine, unless you're just a downvote troll.

I don’t know what that means. The results had a lot of information. Different cholesterol, triglycerides, and a bunch of other stuff.

Yeah most GPs don't have a clue. I actually had to tell a GP what an NMR was. He'd literally never heard of it.
I paid $90 for it through online service. You just to to LabCorp and you get your results online quickly. Of course it's better to have a doc order and go over it, but yeah.
Anyway, it shows your LDL particle numbers and size. Gives you an insulin resistance score etc.
But if you have your trigs and HDL, it can be a decent proxy for particle data. It your trigs are no more than 2X your HDL then chances are your particle numbers are decent.
But the LDL number you get from the basic lipid panel without particle count and size isn't very useful. The LDL-heart hypothesis is woefully outmoded.

My bilirubin has been high every time it's been tested the past 8 years.
