Part of the problem is that Mitt and his family are up to their necks in the corruption in places like Ukraine.
Trump threatening to shut off the spigots they are using to siphon off foreign aid and bust the people stealing that money is a direct problem to him and his kids.

Trump was trying to unify the Republican party, which he never gets credit for doing. He was giving Mittens a chance to join the ranks. But just like with Sessions, if you go swamp on him, he's done!

Yep but I think that this is the Mitt that has always been. He's always been left of center and has used his Mormonism as a way to stealthily get what he wants. He'd love to see the US turn into Massachusetts-with it's soft socialism and high taxes.

There's plenty of general elections and primaries that Trump does not endorse a republican candidate in.
The President doesn't make endorsements in every political race.
Mitt was running away with it in Utah and the endorsement was completely unnecessary but he still did it anyway.

I can understand the desire but he was out of his mind trying to convince a man in his mid 80s to stick it out of another 6 years in the senate where he would be in his 90s at the end of the term.
Orrin could barely walk up and down stairs by January 2019.
