The time has come and the search for an engagement ring has begun. I am looking for an antique ring, so auction houses are where I have begun my search. I am pretty familiar with the New Orleans auction scene, but does anyone have any experience with any other reputable online auction houses which may carry such items?
TIA
EDIT: Before anyone asks, yes, I budgeted 3 years salary

You are looking for and antique stone, an antique ring or both? If you are looking for vintage, precision cut large faceted diamonds, check out Good old Gold’s August vintage Cushion diamonds. Click on the filter and scroll down to the August vintage or the round August vintage for a different diamond cut with large chunky facets

Insane. Be sure she even wants a diamond, much less an antique before you plop down serious cash. Experiences over things....

When you look at that GOG website and see 9000 diamonds, rest assured those are not on hand. They've merely integrated a search function from a database of others.
Try to find a local, independent jewelry store that can assist you. You'll support a local small business and if they are halfway good be a trusted resource for your needs now and in the future.

Those August Vintage diamonds are onhand. That design was patented by them and can only be purchased there. I agree on the other diamonds

I know a few people who have bought antique jewelry from Barker’s Antique Jewelry in Baton Rouge. Just google them for the web site.

Thought it was 3.50 years salary?
If in BR try Barkers jewelry, it’s older antique stuff at reasonable prices.

Not sure, but I deal with Ken Friend in New Orleans. He is a great guy and is very reasonable.
