247 Article
Pretty good article on the updated rankings of LA recruits. This class could be really big for us! Shea does a great job keeping on top of the Recruiting.

University High's Jardin Gilbert - S - Gilbert made his debut as a four-star prospect in Wednesday's update, moving up from a three-star prospect and now sitting just outside the Top247. Alabama and a handful of other SEC programs have offered the Baton Rouge native, while LSU continues to recruit the local defensive back.

Jeez, the wide receiver class is DEEP this year. Anybody know which, if any, are likely to play DB in college?

What position is Ryan projected at ?

Interesting Sage Ryan is ranked that high

As a junior in 2019, Coleman had a head-turning 1,143 yards on just 35 catches. That's good for an average of 32.7 yards per catch. He also turned those 35 catches into 22 touchdowns, which led the state among wide receivers.
damn

It’s almost always like that for Louisiana. We aren’t normally loaded with Lineman Talent.

Sage is projected as a safety, with the possibility to play either wr, cb, or rb.

This is not always the case. Take 2017 where there were a couple DT, a couple LB, a couple QB. a nice spread of player types. Unfortunately, 8 chose to leave the state.
2017 (12 4* Players)
Tyler Shelvin, DT, 0.9754
DeVonta Smith, WR, 0.9717
Todd Harris, S, 0.9589
Phidarian Mathis, DT, 0.9528
Christopher Allen, ILB, 0.9520
Brad Stewart, CB, 0.9354
Keytaon Thompson, DUAL, 0.9258
Bruce Jordan-Swilling, OLB, 0.9182
Travis Etienne, RB, 0.9171
Lowell Narcisse, DUAL, 0.9041
Adrian Ealy, OT, 0.8998
Patrick Queen, ATH, 0.8955

Not saying he will play there, but Malik Nabors is considered a good cornerback prospect as well as receiver.
