I caught what may have been a personal best largemouth Sunday and didn't have a *(&*%% scale. Are they all pretty much the same, made in China, last a couple of years?

I didn't want to keep a fish that big so I had to settle for measuring it, it was 26.5". Interwebs puts it between 10 and 11 lbs.

There were some good responses here

I ended up going with this one from Amazon since it was 10 bucks and my dad loses stuff. It seems pretty solid. The hook is garbage so I filed a catfish hook down and removed the barb as a replacement.

how much are you wanting to spend?

I have a boga grip. It's bullet proof.

Boga is the best. 15 lb scale can be igfa certified if you want to send it off. They are that accurate. No digital read out though. Has weight lines in every half pound.

I'm guessing someone isn't a fan of Boga with the down votes.

Bet they won't say why though

Growing up on the coast I know about the Bogas, I was just going to get a digital something. I kayak fish a lot and a $125 scale would be something else I'd need to tether.

Then the boga is what you want. It's easy to quickly grab one, spins when the fish flops and doesn't let go of them. I have a float attached to mine in case I drop it over the side of the kayak. It's been going strong for many years.

Agree. I added the float. Used mine heavily when Wade fishing. Could get wet. Couldn’t hurt em.

And agree bbvdd. Can’t please everyone

I couldn't tell you how much that thing weighed as I have never personally seen one over around 7lbs, but that is definitely a pig! Nice catch!

I have one mounted that's 10 lbs 12 oz, and it's about the same size or slightly bigger. There are online calculators but all I had was a ruler on the cooler lid so I got length but not girth. It's almost certainly between 10 and 11, maybe just over 11. Oh well. I'll have to make do with the picture and no weight.

We were crushing small ones, and I had just got done commenting that if they cleaned out some of the small ones they could get some size when that sucker hit. We got him and one that was 5-6 lbs, every other one (probably 40 between 3 of us) was less than 2.

Went the next day to a new place, full of bream, cypress and bottom structure that looked like bass heaven, and got completely skunked. Fish calendar said it was a 100% day, but nobody told the fish.

2nd the Rapala Tournament Scale. My tourny partner and I each bought one and they are extremely accurate.
