rewatching the db drills of the combine has me really excited for what stingley will do when he eventually goes to the combine. I truly believe This year if he was allowed to enter the combine, I truly believe he would’ve ran the 4.2s(ran a 4.30 in Hs with good training he can get that down) with a 43 inch vertical along with showing explosive hips and feet. What numbers do you guys think stingley would’ve put up at the combine.

He’s getting bigger and stronger, has 2 more years til the combine, would have been a top 5-10 pick this year.....But I don’t see 4.2s. Would be insane

Jesus christ

The expectations for this young man are astronomical. Anything other than superhuman and he will get ripped to shreds by everybody on this board. Be realistic, hes human. I think.

Lol I wish a dude would. I will undress anyone that goes at Stingley if he continues down this path.

With that said I expect he’ll put up an extremely similar day to Patrick Peterson.

Maybe a slightly higher 40 and higher vert.

PP7 ran a 4.34 at 219lbs.... Jesus Christ

40-YD 4.33 1st run 4.35 2nd run (record is 4.22 by a WR)
Vert- 42 (record is 46")
Broad- 11.1 (record is 12.3 from a safety)

Those numbers are amazing, however, Stingley has the "it factor" that you cannot coach. His it factor as a CB is even more impressive than his numbers I hope he achieves as I wrote above or even the numbers by the record holders. His form as a CB is as impressive as the players who set all those records above. He may not put up their freaky numbers but he is more talented than any of them, and will make a 2nd and 3rd contract in the league and well over $150 million in his career

That’s the crazy part though, his ceiling is still TBD. Everybody had high expectations for him coming into this year.. but how many really expected him to be the best CB in the country as a true freshman?

I'm sure he'll put up great numbers, but the combine can't measure smooth. That's what separates Stingley and Patrick Peterson from every other DB I've ever seen at LSU. They perform at an elite level without appearing to be trying hard.

He ran a laser timed 4.30 forty-yard dash at the opening in his senior season. So are you saying he has slowed down since then?

Problem with those high school times is these guys put on 20-30 pounds of muscle during their college careers, and most of the time, they actually get a little slower while in college. Specifically the guys who run these sub 4.4 laser timed 40s in high school.

That’s a fair point because UCLA’s darnay Holmes ran a 4.32 in HS and his 40 time lowered to a 4.48 at the combine
