Why are so many threads(that dont violate forum rules) being whacked?

Ive noticed recently that lots of threads are being whacked for no apparent reason. I just started one asking about the Chinese response to the coronavirus. Whacked. No explanation.

I wish when they whack one of your threads or posts they would give you an explanation. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
