Usually when someone ask about where to have a beer I assume craft
I mean if you want a Bud Light then any restaurant or bar would do.

Well sterile in the bar tenders didn't interact and me not being single I'm not worried about divorced women

They have a couple very cute female bartenders that have been there many years. 4Miles can vouch for that

I’m not single nor do I like women but watching divorcees mingle is so much fun

Ah. Well nevermind.

Some people like Gilla Brewing. Although they only have 2 of their own beers currently and are just carrying others.

Tiger Tavern is the best beer bar.
Nic’s is the best overall bar as well as the best live music venue (granted, it’s all cover bands).
Hokus Pokus is the best liquor store. They also have crowlers there. Awesome beer selection.
Gilla is an absolute gem of a brewery and rivals the best in the state.
The biggest struggle in Ascension Parish is finding restaurants with decent taps. TBH, Walk-On’s probably has the best beer selection pf any place that serves food, granted, Gilla allows you to bring food in from the delicious mexican place next door.
There’s cheap drive through daiquiris everywhere.
There’s also church fair’s with booze, benefits with bands and booze, or outdoor festivals like every other weekend. They won’t be NOLA quality, but they’re something to do.

Learn to love swamp pop and two-step, and these events will be a lot more fun.

If we're throwing Ruffinos & Icehouse out here then Little Village should be on here too. Just get a loaf of bread (with roasted garlic & tapenade) and a drink at the bar. They have a good happy hour. Their other food is hit or miss.

French Market Bistro is at the Highland Rd exit too and we prefer it over Ruffinos now.
