Playing High-res music on receiver

What's the best way to play high res music on my receiver. Can I play it through the usb port via Amazon Music HD? Stream it?
I know this is kind of open ended but I'm a beginner to the world of HD audio. My receiver is an Onkyo TX NR-585 so it should be able to handle WAV and FLAC files up to 24/192. I just need to figure out the best way to deliver them to the receiver.

How old is that receiver? It's not listed on the Onkyo site.

Yeah I bought it June of last year but it was likely an older model when I bought it.
Plex is a great suggestion as I already have an extensive plex movie library through an NVIDIA shield client.

Bluetooth is not aptx or bidirectional so that's out. USB may be your best bet. You could also get a streamer and plug it directly in a digital input on the receiver.
It's a little behind the times unfortunately. If it had eARC instead of just ARC you could possibly stream to it from your smart TV.
I'd do Roon way before I'd consider Plex. It's much more powerful for music and can interface with many streaming services.

An alternative question I have is what about coming through my computer. I have some nice wired headphones I could use as well. I was able to configure the sound settings yesterday to output 192/24 and Amazon was able to recognize the device as being cable on its popup that tells what the track was recorded at, what the device is capable of playing, and what was actually playing. I didn't have time to listen to some songs yet but I did all of this without a soundcard. The PC is fairly new, built it myself last summer but is it going to be total shite even though it says it can handle it without an external DAC or dedicated sound card?
